It seems that the history of the church is cyclic. There is a major movement by a majority to a common error, there are some that stand up to that error, and a small group is formed in opposition. The history of the church has shown that the majority, most of the ones who profess to be Christians, is wrong in both their view of the Scriptures and the application for life. This happens as certain men that claim to be scholars dictate what the church should believe. The view of the Bible has been twisted so that anyone who is a consistent literalist is shunned by the majority. The majority always seeks to have their message to the world and makes their message understandable to the unsaved man. As soon as it is understandable to the unsaved man it is no longer the truth for a Christian as the unsaved man cannot know these truths.
As the message for most denominations has become similar the churches seem to be uniting. The problem is that the message has to be acceptable to all denominations, so "truth" has to be so general that it loses all of it's meaning. The different denominations were started as a response to this idea as they understood that is was the differences that mattered. How does your denomination differ from others? How are your denominations beliefs more accurate to what the Bible teaches than other denominations?
